Finca Tasta: always innovative

Finca Tasta is located in Challhuamayo, in the district of Llaylla, province of Satipo, in the jungle of Peru; its main objective is to produce specialty coffees, in natural washing and honey processes.

Edith Meza is our creator and has dedicated herself to the production of specialty coffee. After the death of her parents, she and her brother inherited their land and assumed the responsibility of raising the family business and specializing in coffee growing.

Finca Tasta: quality by volume

Edith always talks about the history of her farm, which began in 2009, and comments that she has been very happy since its beginnings. In addition, she is committed to quality, not volume. For this reason, she constantly experiments to achieve different flavor profiles. “We started with washed coffee, with dry fermentation, wet fermentation,” she says. In 2014 we began to export and to be known in other countries.

Finca Tasta coffee has reached different and diverse places, such as the United States, Canada, Italy, China, or the United Arab Emirates. It was Edith herself who was in charge of seeking these markets. Her tenacity led her to previously participate as a volunteer in various barista championships. She also comments that in the last two or three years, they have been able to experiment with new processes, such as the Prairie honey processor.

Without a doubt, Finca Tasta has an unparalleled service, so its success has been productive and beneficial for the Meza family.

We are always looking for innovation and above all complexity in order to find new aromas and flavors such as tropical syrup with sweet acidity.

Finca Tasta is the next best thing to a fantastic coffee and we know that the first time you drink it it feels like a sweet chocolate, however, we will always emphasize that family is the most important thing in the world.
